I’m always excited when fall comes back. It’s the best time to knit and to be covered in yarn, to rediscover last year’s hats and scarves and to make new ones. The colors of the leaves are so inspiring and they make me want to knit in reds, yellows and greens. Actually, all I really want is to find a cozy place and to cast on all the ideas I have in mind.
I’m glad to have not one but three patterns to share with you today as my contribution to your fall inspiration. The first one is a bran new pattern, designed for the little ones, and it should talk to the moms out there who enjoy “mommy and me” projects. If you remember my last pattern, Lineage Sweater, this one is pretty much the same, but now available in tiny sizes.
Tiny Lineage Sweater
for babies and kids
Lineage Sweater is the descendant of all your previous knitting projects. It’s a raglan sweater worked in the round, seamlessly, from the top down. It can be made using only leftover yarns, or with mini or full skeins. It’s a fun sweater to knit and the result can be as colorful as you desire, as you can use any number of colors, from 2 to 1000! This version for babies and kids is intended for the youngest additions to your family tree, with sizing going from Preemie (doll) to 12 years old.
More pattern releases!
and were originally published in books from Knit Picks, Strands of Colors and Creative Colors. They have just been released as individual patterns and you can now get them on Ravelry. Note that the hat can also be made as a mommy and me project, as it is available in 6 sizes, to make sure that the ears of the whole family are covered!
