Description
Each spring, I wait patiently for the moment when the landscape transforms from winter to summer. I must not blink, because it happens so quickly… Nature turns completely upside down in just a few days, that I call the magical week of Spring. Budburst represents this whimsical transition, with its branches and puffy buds. It’s worked from the top down, with drop shoulders and a boxy fit. The shoulders and neckline are made using short-rows. The stitch pattern combines twisted stitches and bobbles worked in a contrasting color, in stranded colorwork. The twisted stitches are made without a cable needle for a smooth knitting experience. About the sleeves, since I’m never sure if I need long or short sleeves at this time of year, I added both options to the pattern! Nine sizes are provided, each of them having a slightly different arrangement of stitch patterns, creating a pattern that continues seamlessly around the whole body for each size.
Versatile pattern
- The pattern includes two options for sleeve length, and you could also opt for 3/4 sleeves.
- You can work the project with only one color, or a different contrasting color for each bobble row.
- Don’t get discouraged by all the bobbles! The pattern includes explanations to work the back in stockinette stitch.
