Knitted Temperature Snake

$9.00

Tracking the temperature throughout the year is a fun and creative challenge, and the Temperature Snake offers a playful twist on the classic temperature blanket! In this year-long project, you’ll knit just one small round per day, making it a much faster and manageable project than a full-size blanket. By the end of the year, you’ll have a colorful, squishy snake that tells the story of the year’s temperatures. Grab some yarn in multiple colors of the same weight – worsted is ideal, but feel free to customize. Since the total yardage depends on the weather, every snake will be unique!

Finished size
11” (28 cm) in circumference by 77” (196 cm) long

Yarn and yardage
Approximately 900 yards (823 m) of worsted weight yarn in any number of colors (aim for about 5 to 20). The yardage used for each color will vary depending on the temperatures in your area.

The pattern includes detailed instructions and ideas to help you plan your project and create your own personalized snake.
