Perle Shawl and Scarf

$9.00

This knitting pattern is a downloadable PDF that guides you to create a lace shawl or scarf worked from one end to the other. The pattern is fully adaptable in size and can be worked with any yarn weight and yardage. It includes instructions to create a scarf or a shawl, and clear instructions for every step.

Cute, cozy, and comforting, this pattern can be made as either a shawl or a scarf, depending on your preference. It combines delicate lace with pretty bobbles in a regular, rhythmic pattern. The main stitch pattern is worked over just 8 rows and repeated throughout the piece, creating an even texture with a chic look. The construction is simple and fully adaptable. Just follow the charts and watch the pattern take shape row by row! Worked with a strand of fingering weight merino held together with a strand of mohair, the sample is warm and cozy. The pattern can also be worked with any yarn, for a different result depending on the fibre and weight chosen. It’s the kind of accessory you’ll want to wrap yourself in, whether you’re heading out into the cold or settling into a cozy evening at home.

Construction
Perle is worked sideways, beginning with just a few stitches. It grows along one side through a series of increases until the desired width is reached. The center section is then worked without shaping for as long as desired, followed by decreases along the same side to gradually bring the shawl back down.

Adaptable pattern
Perle is completely adaptable and can be worked with any yarn, to any dimensions. Simply work each section as many or as few times as needed to create your preferred shawl or scarf shape and dimensions. Detailed instructions are provided in the pattern.

Dimensions
The sample shown measures 60” (152 cm) wide along the top edge and 15” (38 cm) deep at its widest point.
